Artist Statement : Myfanwy heard Yehudi play in Carnegie Hall at the age of 11. On that occasion she could only sit and wonder what it would mean to be able to do something which could touch anothers hear, as his music did for so many people. In 1972, Yehudi and Myfanwy met for the first time and they became close friends. It was a friendship that grew over the years and was an integral part of her life. Myfanwy said "There was much joy for me in doing the drawings and paintings of Yehudi Menuhin. Spending so much time together in my studio gave me the opportunity of understanding his thoughts and feelings about so many things not only in music and the arts but also the wonder of life itself. His presence was truly inspirational".
