Artist Statement : "The geese arriving in April have always been a calendar marker for the Hesquiat people. Tim's grandmother was from Esperanza Inlet where one family took care of a special place to welcome the geese. Although the moon was not a family crest it was recognized as a powerful force in the lives of the West coast people." Statement provided by Vincent Rickard, Pacific Editions.
