Artist Statement : This is George's second print depicting a Blue Heron. These spectacular birds are often seen on the beaches of Vancouver Island. Here the heron stretches his great wings as the sun rises. In this print George has successfully combined realistic portrayal with traditional form. (Statement provided by Pacific Editions)
