Artist Statement : "Bookwus is the wildman of the woods who lurks on the edge of the forest. He tries to persuade humans to eat ghost food so they will become like him. He lived in a house in an unreal forest and attracted the spirits of the drowned to his house. This design was painted for a native art display at Expo '86 in Vancouver. Ozzie's use of bright colours add to the powerful effect of this Wild Man." Vincent Rickard
