Artist Statement : The dominant power of the giant mythological Thunderbird is clearly depicted here as he ensnares a massive Killer Whale in his talons. The flapping of the Thunderbird's wings is said to cause thunder and lightning, powerful and familiar features of storms to a people living in close contact with nature.
