Visual Description : The seated male figure is compact and rests upright on his buttocks and feet with the knees tightly flexed. The figure is shown with a flat round head and a coiffure. The head is turned to the left side; the eyes appear closed as if meditating. Hunkered figures are known in Costa Rica as Sukias (shamans).
