Artist Statement :
"This design depicts a chief figure wearing his eagle headdress and a Raven dancer in the bow of a canoe. The water is depicted as a sea monster figure under the canoe. These figures are surrounded by two Killer Whales, who are surrounded by four canoes tied together with cedar rope. The outside border is done as waves under the canoes. The main crest of the Hunt family is a Raven and the Killer Whale figures represent Emma Hunt's Nootkan ancestry." - E.H.
