Artist Statement :
"The Rufous Hummingbird is the most common species in the region, and some areas these tiny, active and well loved birds are year-round inhabitants. Hummingbirds nest in the unruly hair of Dzunukwa, the wild woman of the woods, and they fly around her as she walks through the forest. She is the guardian of the forest creatures and the protector of the Hummingbird. The Hummingbird is one of the birds of the Kwaguilth Thunderbird Kingdom from George Hunt Sr. Big House." - Tom Hunt
