Artist Statement :
"Kolus is a large, Thunderbird-like creature. He is a part of the Nakwaxdaxw Undersea Kingdom. During one of the dances this Kolus comes out and calls all of the animals. Similar to the Grouse Dancer of the Animal Kingdom." - Tom Hunt
Tom has the tights to this design from his mother's lineage. It belongs to Chief Danny and Bill Henderson's family, from the Wei Wai Kum Band at Campbell River. (Statement provided by Pacific Editions)
