Artist Statement : The Thunderbird, a magnificent legendary creature, has the ability to transform himself and is depicted here in his undersea form as part of the Sea Kingdom. This is a supernatural figure shown here on the ocean floor holding a sea urchin. George's inspiration for this print came from old paintings by Charlie James and Ellen Neel.
