Visual Description :
The box is wooden, black with a sheen due to the lacquer. Four figures are depicted in an oriental landscape including trees, bushes, chalice pagoda and another building, all delicately painted in gold. The faces and hands of the figures are depicted less delicately with cream coloured paint. Box sits on dark wooden stand with two curled legs.
