Gus, Ramona

Originally growing up on Barkley Sound, Romana Gus is from the Tsesasht First Nation, which is an amalgamation of different Bands, two from Barkley Sound. Her work has been collected internationally and she works in the mediums print-making and carving.

The University of Victoria's Art Collection has two of Ramona's artworks, a print entitled West Coast Conductor and a cedar painted mask.

Originally growing up on Barkley Sound, Romana Gus is from the Hikuuthl Band now joined to the Tsesasht First Nation, members of the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council. She works in a variety of mediums such as carving, silk-screening and print-making and has also participated in the building of a long-house along the Barkley Sound.
Her work has been collected internationally and she is an active member and arts educator in her community.
