The Sts'Ailes Band is a Coast Salish community and their band government is the Chehalis First Nation.

The name Sts'Ailes comes from the area of Harrison Lake, near the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and means 'beating heart'. 1

Hul’q’umi’num’ is the language traditionally practiced by those from the Sts'Ailes area. They are separate from the Stó:lō but speak the same dialect. 2
