Visual Description :
Flattened pieces of clay modeled and placed together to represent coil shapes. The artwork is composed of two identical shapes. Glaze and raku is applied to create the illusion of 3 dimensionality - shiny glazed surfaces advance while the matte surfaces recede. The upper left portion - where the coil begins (or ends) has a circular, brushed metal piece.Coil is colored in neutral tones of off-white, sienna, Grey, Grey-black.**Note this piece was damaged. The piece was repaired by the artist.
