Visual Description : Deep oval glazed compote with hollow oval base flaring at bottom. Compote has white background with 3 cm bands of painted decoration around bottom of base and top lip of dish inside and out. Bands formed of 2 gold lines with repeating motif. Border pattern is brown and blue 'wheat' design of 1770 taken from an original Wedgwood pattern book.
