Visual Description : One of three soast copper rattles in an overall group of nine waest coast ceremonial rattles. The main body of the rattle is heart/circular shaped and is constructed of copper. Affixed around the rattle are multiple large chunky woven and braided strands of wool (sixteen in total). The base of the rattle extends out to forn a holster for a wooden handle. The rattle overall is in poor condition with the copper showing signs of extreme corrrosion, the handle showing evidence of rot and chipping, and the wool strands show signs of yellowing and surface dirt.
