Visual Description : Wooden spindle whorl with carved double salmon designs. It is mounted on a steel armature. The design on the front consists of two interlocking salmon, one red and the other black. Their eyes are painted inlaid copper. The back design consists of linear circular salmon motifs. Other colours of paint used include a light pastel green, white, and a light cream yellow. The armature is 104 cm in diameter on the floor (footprint), 104 cm high with an angled post on which the whorl is hung through the centre hole. The post is 148 cm from the floor to its highest point.
