Visual Description : Sculpture consisting of found objects assembled into a one-piece configuration. Objects include a chain, an axe, a block of wood, a shackle, and a square metal plate with a welded metal armature. The chain is hanging from the end of the axe handle. The axe is mounted in the metal plate, which in turn has its armature bolted to the wooden base block. The shackle, linked to a second chain, is hanging from the metal plate next to the head of the axe. The wooden base block has been treated with an auburn-coloured, glossy varnish.
