Visual Description : Long drinking gourd with a beaded leather strap and leather lid. The gourd itself resembles a large curved bottle with a rounded bottom. It is dark orange brown in colour and has a small rimmed opening. The leather strap is a single piece that has been stitched together at the ends and is attached to the lower area of the gourd on the sides. It also wraps along the bottom, creating a cradle support for the gourd. The beadwork on the strap can be found on the lower sides. The pattern of the beadwork is similar in appearance on either side and consists of a rectangle with an interior circle, button, and cross design. Outside and below the rectangle are three vertical lines. The colours of the beadwork are blue, yellow, red, white, orange, green, and black. The lid for the gourd is not decorated with beadwork and has been bound together at the seams with metal wire.
