Visual Description : The mortar is made from bark and is carved into a tall vase-like shape. The base is smaller than the mouth. Attached to one side of the mortar is a piece of hide attached with nails. The pestle is fairly thin and is made from solid stone. It is oblong in shape with one end slightly larger than the other. The pestle is dark grey in colour.
