A different colour resides in each of the horizontal lines. There are beaded lines on the legs of the hide. The colours, from shortest to longest, from top to bottom are: salmon pink, royal blue, blue, black, and red. The area of the head of the elk has diamond-like patterns comprised of small squares of beads in two colours. The two colours are salmon pink and blue; salmon pink and black; yellow and blue. There are six diamond patterns. Along the recto, bottom edge there are 10 tassels attached to the hide. They are made of blue beads with red and gray tassels (made from cloth?).
