Visual Description : This ink well (a) is comprised of three pieces, th first piece is a silver 'well' with a hinged square top. Depicted on the top of the well is a bamboo tree, and this is right of centre on the lid. The second section (b), is the glass 'holder' for the well and it is square and covered in a silver lace-like encasement of bamboo trees. The bottom is a square silver tray (c) again with a bamboo tree depicted far over to the right hand side of the plate, the tree itself is almost identical to the one on section (a) the well.
