Visual Description : Carved oval shaped Egyptian amulet depicting a scarab beetle. This piece is three dimensional and smooth in texture. The beetle's legs can be seen on the side sections beneath the shell. On the backside contained within an inscribed oval are a series of hieroglyphs (no registers). A hole runs vertically through the mid-section of the amulet. The piece is polished green with tan.
