Visual Description : This is a watercolour of the snow capped Canadian Rockie Mountains. It is done in a representatinal style and has a palette consisting of blue, green, brown, mauve, grey and white. The composition is made up of the mountains, which take up approximately 2/3, and trees in the front of the picture plane, taking up approximately 1/4 of the overall composition. The scene is representational of Canadian geography and vegetation. The painting is matted with white mat board that is very yellowed from age.
