Visual Description : This is a rectangular watercolour of the West Coast of Canada. The image includes an expansive view of the ocean which takes up 3/4 of the composition. Just to the right of the centere of the image is an island with a sailboat floating off to the left side of the island. The very front of the picture plane shows a glimpse of the shoreline with rocks and a small tree in the very left corner. Furthest in the distance is a mountain chain that stretches across the entire picture plane. The palette is somwhat limited to blue, green, umber, and orange.
