Visual Description : This is a 2D cut out of a figure made of plywood. The figure is the front view of a band member, playing a saxaphone. The figure has a swaying movement where his hips sway to the left and his arms are stretched above his head to the right holding the saxaphone to his mouth. The entire figure is painted in black, white and yellow.

Artist Statement : The four figures that comprise "The Boys in the Band" have elements that are common not only in their dress, construction, and surface colouration but also in their uniqueness with regards to the nature of installation and performance.
