Visual Description : Small oval mat of wrapped crossed warp weave and a sewn on back facing of checker work plaiting. The central area is a later addition/repair of the piece. The design motif is in dark red, orange, purple and red. The central section is open through it one sees the plain checker work backing. Motifs are possibly lightning snake and thunderbird. These two beings are usually paired together.
