Visual Description : Long handscroll in two sections, silk mounted on board. The dominant colours are blue and green, and these are matte mineral pigments. See"other data". Image shows both sections. the iconography of this painting is quite complex; the subject is a representation of Taoist immortals. They are a class of superior beings who dwell in nature and are credited with miraculous powers. This subject is very popular in the Chinese decorative arts. There are 5 seals in the right side of panel I and 2 seals on panel II.
