Artist Statement : " This design illustrates a new oral history if my Family's history which explains when the Beaver and Eagle clans joined to become one clan. During this time the two clans had begun to decline and it was suggested that the two once strong clans unite to become strong again. The outside of the design represents the Eagle and its clan. The Eagle's tail represents the Beaver and their clan. The Eagle is embracing the humans who are in the process of becoming a part of the Eagle clan. The Transforming human/ eagle and the Beaver clan share the same body, becoming one. Flanked on either side of the Beaver and Eagle/human are the ancestors, guided ad witnessing the fusion of these two clans. Since the joining of these two clans they have never been weak." -- Mike Dangeli
