Artist Statement : "This piece is dedicated to my late cousin Anthony Dawson. One of his last pieces he carved was a Raven headdress. It is one of the most beautiful three-dimensional pieces I've ever experienced. This painting is of a Raven which is ascending to the heavens. 'For you Anthony, let your spirit soar forever and always.'" --Francis Dick
