Artist Statement : "In 2006 I had a feast, and during the feast we honored my wife, Marie Hunt, putting this name on her, Hadidadut - Reaching for the stars. In the print, the mountains represent Tlashkish, a mountain where a lot of my treasures come form. In a song composed by Kodi Nelson, it talks about paddling to Tlashkish, where I transform into a Thunderbird. In my supernatural canoe, which is designed with a Sisiutl, a protector and family crest, I travel up to the heavens in search of a star for my wife. Having not been able to accomplish this, I come back with a name, Reaching for the Stars." - Calvin Hunt
