Artist Statement : "During Inuit rituals, a Shaman could go into a trance like state and take over an animal's soul or space. In this case he has taken over a raven. He would do this in order to understand the animal and use it for his own purposes. This accounts for the man's face looking out and the bird form receding in Abraham's print." - Open Pacific Graphics Limited
