Artist Statement : This is Mark's third print, one of a series of twelve paintings using shadings. It is the first North West Coast print using this technique in the printing process. It is inspired by several West Coast and Kwakuitl masks and is an excellent 3-dimensional portrait of the dance mask. (Statement provided by Pacific Editions)
