Artist Statement :
The print "Medicine Drum " represents the West Coast people's knowledge of the healing qualities of certain plant life. The two colour rainbow in full circle symbolizes the two sides of life, physical and spiritual, being one and the same.
The central figure, a medicine bird with medicinal plants growing from it's left wing represents the knowledge of such plants being passed from bird to man. And the crescent moon above the bird's head represents communication between earth and higher orders.
