Artist Statement : "Each of us is born with a gift, for me it is art. At first this gift may not be clear, we must work to interpret it and to integrate it in our lives. The four circles represent the four directions, the four seasons. Each must be explored and we must move through in our own right direction. When this happens, we feel free and very positive. The birds, the loon and the crow, represent my guidance. The crow gives me my name, the loon is my maker. Understanding these gives me great peace. When I appreciate my gift, I am happy within and people see it in me. To show appreciation for this, I'll work to help pass on what I have learned to younger artists." - Roy Thomas
