Artist Statement : "Two superimposed human figures are flanked by thunderbirds. The protective arch is again present, but there is also a merging of the limbs of man and bird. The lower figure is shown faceless, and the thunderbird's talons have become the human shoulders and arms. The spiritual exchange between man and nature is represented by the facial motifs contained in the bodies of the birds and the seated human form." - Stan Greene
