Artist Statement : "At one time there was a boy who would hoot back at owls, mocking and teasing them for fun. The elders told him not to; to have respect for owls. One day a large owl swooped down and took him away. The people of the village would go looking for the boy day after day with no success. A long time later a strange Indian came to the village. He didn't speak the language. He was the lost boy and had been raised by the owls." (As related to Robert Sebastian by his grandmother.)
