Visual Description : The object is a buff-coloured jar decorated with two hollow, modelled armadillo heads, and forefeet. The specimen is unpolished and unpainted. The walls are carefully finished both inside and outside and less than 5 mm thick. The vertical rim is 13 mm high and tapered to about 1.5 mm in width. The heads and feet of the armadillo are employed as shoulder ornaments; the back of each head is turned toward the aperture of the vessel. The ears and nose of the animal are prominent; the eyes are wanting. The forefeet are conventionalized and appear as flattened nodes with vertical incisions.
