Visual Description : The four-legged metate has a protruding stylized jaguar head and a semi-curved tail in low relief on the opposite side. The head and tail are framed by two small knobs on the underside of the plate. Two similar small knobs appear on the longitudinal side of the metate. The legs are thick and cylindrical through the upper part of the outside is flattened in the upper area. The bowl is slightly concave and shows signs of use. The plate is rectangular with rounded corners; the rim is slightly raised.
