Visual Description : Tall tripod with spherical bowl, applique, paired handles, and hollow legs which come to a point at the end and have vertical slits through which the pellet(s) may roll. Hip is decorated with a curious animal form, perhaps the head and wings of a stylized bat. The vertical handles are on opposite sides. They are attached to the lip and the body of the vessel and incised diagonally to give the appearance of being twisted. The material is greyish clay with a light brown slip. The body of the vessel, lip and inside of the neck show traces of red paint. The outer surface of the bowl and part of the legs are blackened by smoke and soot.
